Defendants and Respondents are the two teams in moot courts. The teams must conduct studies on the hypothetical situation presented at the mooting and express their respective positions. The mooting practice first emerged in India in 1981, and then it has been utilised to educate the next generation of professionals in compelling argumentation. Moot court is currently one of the most important and effective ways for people to learn and develop the skills and attributes needed to become lawyers.

Because you will be competing in the situation and expressing your aspect based on the study, being involved in moot court tournaments will help you improve your research skills. In addition, it will help you create a strong moot court memorial that the opposing team is going to utilize to object to and makes arguments on that basis. Furthermore, it will help you improve your ability to respond quickly to circumstances and deal with uncomfortable ones.

In these circumstances, you must demonstrate your ability to think creatively because you can’t be prepared for everything that may happen because the moot court is a setting where you must expect the unexpected. You will be able to improve your thinking as a result.
Motivation
Last but not least, students who participated in these activities for the first time gain not only experience but also the inspiration to engage in further competitions and moots as well as in a more thorough manner. The students’ morale is raised by participating in these types of mooting events, which also teach them how to speak passively and, as a result, present their thoughts in front of others if they had previously been reluctant to do so.
